Request from a friend..

May 17, 2021

Had a friend message me on my Facebook page requesting a new logo for his business venture.. More than willing to oblige him..

Where did Grizz go..?

May 06, 2021

Hmm.. apparently I have disappeared for a spell.. Been kind of wrapped up in life's moments and have not really put much effort into drawing and keeping up with the blog here.. Well hopefully that will change some soon. One last big event before summer rolls around and then I will hopefully return to drawing and posting on a regular basis again.

Seems my mojo had disappeared and I just didn't have the motivation to draw kind of like writers block.. it comes and goes. I really do have the interest, just have not found much in the way of motivation or substance as of late so basically I took an extended hiatus. Rest assured I am still here, still itching to get some drawings done and hopefully spark up some interest again. So stay tunes, check back often and I will again be posting at the FB page as well... Thanks for sticking around!

Slight Hiatus

October 21, 2020

Been a busy couple weeks at the homestead, so I have not posted as much as I would like to. Been prepping for the winter months the vehicles and the pantry, etc.. You all know the drills...lol. As much as I know its necessary, I really do despise winter. Kind of takes away from the enjoyment of fall having to deal with preparations for the cold months, etc. But in the end we cannot do without it and It doesn't do me any good to complain about it...right! So, Hopefully in the next few days all will be said and done and I will resume posting as normal.

Special thanks to those that follow, like, and comment here at the blog and at the Facebook page. It means a great deal and it encourages me to push forward with my creativity and drawing.

My preferred pen of choice..

October 07, 2020

Here is a review of the pens I use for all of my drawings.  It is the Pilot G2 series, and my secondary is the Precision R2 0.5mm.

Review done by: http://www.gourmetpens.com/

Everyone has heard of G2s before, right? Of course. They’re classic icons in the pen world. The packaging says it’s America’s #1 selling gel pen. I’m not sure if that’s true... but I have no way of checking so let’s just pretend it is. Packaging would never lie to us, right?! Never.
Features (from Pilot Dynamic Gel Ink Formula that's smooth writing and smear-proof
Contoured rubber grip for writing comfort
    Retractable and refillable
Acid free for documenting and record keeping
- Comes in a variety of nib sizes: bold (1.0mm), ultra fine (0.38mm), extra fine (0.5mm), and fine (0.7mm)
- Nice range of colours: black, blue, red, purple, green, navy, burgundy, hunter green, orange, pink, turquoise, caramel, lime green, periwinkle, and teal- G2s have a pretty good looking, soft finished plastic body. It’s the kind of plastic that doesn’t feel like it’ll have sharp shards if you were to somehow break it. They’re clean and simply designed. I do like the ink-matching tinted barrels instead of clear barrels.
- The clip is pretty solid and has a bulbous type end against the body so it holds papers pretty snug. It’s a thick clip though so I wouldn’t pull it back too far just in case it snaps. ... Which is strangely satisfying to do. I think the clip looks a bit like girly bubble writing.
- The clicker is great. I love the sound it makes and it clicks with no doubt about what it was put there to do! Sometimes I just sit around, clicking it over and over and over (which inevitably drives everyone insane).
- Nicely shaped grip that extends far enough down to the tip that I can get a good hold of the pen. You may know that I hate when grips don’t extend far enough and leave a plastic space before the tip (such as with the Uni-ball Signo DXOfficeMax Gel

- Most importantly, the ink.
